Christmas Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sugar

  • ¼ cup cornstarch

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 2 & ¾ cups milk

  • 4 egg yokes

  • 2 tablespoons butter/margarine softened

  • 1 tablespoon & 1 teaspoon vanilla (mom says maybe 1 tsp per 2 cups of milk)

  • Bananas/strawberries


Mom doubles the recipe for the family on Christmas

Directions

  1. Stir together sugar, cornstarch, & salt in sauce pan

  2. Mix a little bit of milk with egg yoke –make it creamy

  3. Stir in yoke mix into powder mixture

  4. Add the rest of the milk to the mixture

  5. Cook over medium heat –stir so the bottom doesn’t burn

  6. Once it is thick turn off the heat

  7. Add margarine & vanilla –stir in

If you like it thicker, use a ¼ cup milk
